The Geometric Spirit

When I was young, I made little figurines on repeat out of scratch paper known as Jacob’s Ladder. I was constantly fiddling with things. My hands needed to create. It was unavoidable. I filled my desk with these pieces just for the fun of it. Now, it comes back in full form, a larger version. Created from old encyclopedia pages, tape, cardboard, fishing line, and hula hoops, Jacob’s Ladder has constructed. My goal is to continue exploring this project to expand and manifest it into a newer medium and evolve it into a much larger construction.
